Rosemary never married. She devoted her life to horses and riding, and had a riding school in Tawstock near Barnstaple.
John Hill recalls - Her cottage, called "Peacehaven" in Hare Pie Lane, gave the impression of being in a state of imminent collapse. It was pretty dreary and damp inside, and there was precious little furniture, most of which was in a poor state of repair. When I visited her in 1992, she was 77 years old, and was suffering badly from bronchial asthma. She owned 2 lovely oil portraits of her grandparents, Henry and Ellen. After she died the portraits went to Mary Etherton [10936] in Brighton.
