William may have been born in Portsmouth but his researcher L Spackman considers Bronte more likely, sourced from the Malta Archives He and Hannah lived at Maniace Abbey Scilly.

He died on Easter Sunday 1879.

William married Rosaria Nicotra FRAGATA [13753] [MRIN: 4590] on 14 Sep 1841 in Anglican Church Sicily. (Rosaria Nicotra FRAGATA [13753] was born about 1810 in Catalonia Malta and died about 1858 in Sicily.)

William next married Hannah Wilkinson ARNOLD of Boston Lin [13754] [MRIN: 4591], daughter of Samuel ARNOLD of Kings Lynn NFK [13756] and Ann Wallbery YOUNG [14144], on 26 Jan 1858 in Malta.
