Garret Moore, 1st Viscount Moore of Drogheda was born circa 1564. He was the son of Sir Edward Moore and Elizabeth Clifford He married Mary Colley , daughter of Sir Henry Colley and Katherine Cusack He died on 9 November 1627 at Drogheda, County Louth, Ireland
He was invested as a Knight in 1599. He held the office of Seneschal of Cavan in 1601. He was invested as a Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Ireland] in 1604. He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Dungannon in 1613 He held the office of President of Munster in 1615. He was created 1st Baron Moore of Mellefont, co. Louth [Ireland] on 20 July 1616. He was created 1st Viscount Moore of Drogheda [Ireland] on 7 February 1621/22.
Garret married Mary COLLEY [14962] [MRIN: 5302], daughter of Sir Henry COLLEY [14963] and Katherine CUSACK [14964].
