Married, on Thursday, by Special License, by the Rev. Robert Knopwood, at St. David's Church, Edward Foord Bromley, Esq. R. N. Naval Officer at this Settlement, to Miss Sarah Greennow.

Launceston Advertiser Thursday 29 August 1839.
COMMISSIONERS' OFFICE, August 1839.- Notice is hereby given, that the following Claims for grants will be ready for examination by the Commis sioners appointed for that purpose, upon or immediately after the 24th of October next, on or before which day any caveat or counter claim must be entered. -
Sarah Bromley, 493a., Hamilton, Monmouth, originally O. Luttrcll, A. Lewis, and J. Clarke, who sold to Dr Bromley; the land was subsequently re-sold by the Government, and purchased for the benefit of Dr. Bromley's family claim renewed 16th August, 1839.

Edward Bromley was held in such high regard that a group of his friends got together and bought a farm at Hamilton Tasmania, for him and his family to live on. Sarah stayed there until her death though she had to reapply for the land in 1839

Sarah married Dr Edward Foord BROMLEY R.N. [18014] [MRIN: 6507], son of James BROMLEY [18084] and Elizabeth [18085], on 23 Nov 1820 in St David Cathedral Hobart Tasmania. (Dr Edward Foord BROMLEY R.N. [18014] was born about 1776 in Rochester KEN, baptised on 25 Aug 1776 in St Nicholas Rochester KEN and died on 29 Jun 1836 in Woolwich KEN.). The cause of his death was epilepsey.
