We regret to hear that the rumour is confirmed of the death of Mr. Ariosto Wakefield. He was drowned about a fortnight since in the Tekapo, in consequence of a waterlogged punt capsizing, The deceased is a son of Mr. Felix Wakefield, and brother of Mrs. Witherby of Lyttelton Ref: Papers Past
