Jemima LYLE [30311]

Jemima's birth is calculated from her age of 30 years on the 2nd marriage entry. The story goes from her granddaughter, Josephine Porter that Jemima, left with two young daughters after William's death, could not afford to pay the ploughman, Patrick Tait, so she chose to marry him.
Jemima had a stylish notice printed at her death which read :
DIED
On Tuesday 19th January 1932
at her residence, Iskaheen,
Muff.
JEMIMA
Relict of the late Patrick Tate.
Her remains will be removed for
interment in Muff Burying
Ground on Thursday morning the
21st inst at Ten o'clock.

Jemima married William DONALDSON [30310] [MRIN: 10703], son of William DONALDSON [30309] and Catherine Margaret WILLIAMSON [30320]. (William DONALDSON [30310] died about 1886.)
