Family Links Henry Howard CHAPMAN [2005] Born: 25 Jan 1838, Calcutta India Died: 18 Nov 1863, Umbeyla Pass India aged 25   General Notes: Henry served as a soldier for the East India Co. He was wounded at Benares, then killed in the Afghan frontier war, trying to save a fellow soldier. He was honoured by the Afghans for his bravery. Ref: Rev G Corrie Bishop of Auckland N Z.
