  General Notes:

Frederick was 40yrs in the Suffolk Regiment 1860 - 1900. Represented on a kneeler in Ely Cathedral worked by his grandaughter Dorothy Mary Burn, and a large brass wall plaque in the south aisle.

Frederick's Gt Gt Grandson Christopher Burn was Head Chorister of the Cathedral in 1998.

Frederick was a student of Goodsir and graduated with his M.D. from the University of Edinburgh in August of 1859. He was one of the 61 medical graduates that heard Goodsir's Address to the Medical graduates delivered on 1 August 1859.
