THE WILL OF ELIZABETH ALSTON
Dated 3rd June 1656.
Wife of Edward Alston of Bramford co. Suffolk gent.
I make this will with the consent of my husband to dispose of L200 and a certain quantity of plate bequeathed to me by my late father William Richardson of Halsted Essex. gent. L100 I have already disposed of to my two eldest daughters, Elizabeth and Alice
The other L100 I give to my five daughters viz. Mary, Anne,Susan,Barbara and Martha L20 each at the age of 18 or days of marriage.
I give to my son John Alston the plate left me by my father.
I appoint my brother in law George Guyon of Coggeshall co. Essex gent. executor of this my will.
Signed Elizabeth Alston.
Witnesses: Edward Alston , Thos. Reene, John Colman.
Proved: 24th May 1658 by George Guyon the executor named in the will.
