Manor of Bures:
1614 Richard Weston inherited who sold to Francis Alston of Polsted to hold in trust under the Will of her husband Thomas Alston for their sons William and Edward.

In 1639 Francis by then the widow of Sir John Temple released the manor to the surviving son Edward who in 1657 sold it to John Wiseman. (Unproven it was this John Wiseman)

John married Catherine ALSTON [3082] [MRIN: 1040], daughter of Sir Edward ALSTON Knt of Strixton [3074] and Esther (Hester) ASHCOMBE [3075], on 8 May 1661 in St Bartholmew the Less London. (Catherine ALSTON [3082] was baptised on 24 Feb 1638/39 in Odell BDF and died after 1716.)
