1. George Alston: Will, 22 Oct 1805, Oxted Surrey.
This is the last Will and testament of me George Alston of the parish of Oxted in the county of Surrey yeoman.
First I give and bequeath unto the three children of my nephew William Alston Susannah, Mary, and Elizabeth five hundred pounds 3 percent bank stock by my executor hereinafter named to be paid to them equal share and share alike when the youngest of them shall arrive at the age of twenty one years.
Also I give and bequeath unto the five children of my niece Sarah wife of George Norton viz Evelyn, George, Mary, Ann, and Sarah five hundred pounds 3 percent stock my niece Sarah Norton to receive the interest arising therefrom during her natural life after her decease the stock as above to be paid by my executor to her five children as above when the youngest of them shall arrive to the age of twenty one years.
Item I give and bequeath unto my niece Elizabeth wife of John Dives and my niece Sarah Alston daughter of my brother William Alston all the rest and residue of my stock in the 3 percent and 5 percent to be divided between them share and share alike.
Also I give and bequeath unto my two nieces Elizabeth Dives and Sarah Alston aforesaid my five freehold messuages or tenements with their appurtenances thereunto belonging equal share and share alike.
Lastly I nominate, constitute, and appoint my Brother William Alston sole executor of this my Will dated this 22nd day of October 1805.
My brother to receive ten pounds and all reasonable expenses for his trouble.

Signed, sealed, published, and declared in the presence of us who in his presence and in the presence of each other have set our hands as witnesses hereunto

This Will was proved at London on the twenty sixth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and five before the worshipful Charles Coote Doctor of Laws surrogate of the Right Honourable Sir William Wynne Knight Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oath of William Alston the brother of the deceased and the sole executor named in the said Will to whom admon was granted of all and singular the goods, chattels, and credits of the said deceased he having been first sworn duly to administer.
