Francis inherited Hurstmonceaux castle and assumed the name and arms of Naylor, (London Magazine June 1743 pg 311) He was a member of the notorious "Hell Fire" club which held its orgies in the ruined abbey at Medmenham on the Thames, see "Memorials of a Quiet Life"

Francis married Charlotte ALSTON [3535] [MRIN: 1207], daughter of Joseph ALSTON of New House [3521] and Laurentia TRUMBULL [3522]. (Charlotte ALSTON [3535] was baptised on 2 Feb 1710/11 in Edwardstone SFK, died before 30 Jun 1789 and was buried in Little Thurlow.)
