The Will of Elizabeth Alston, Widow of Newton
Dated 24th April 1752.
I give to my two Daughters in Law Elizabeth wife of Edward Alstone and Sarah wife of Thomas Alston my Sons, all my Wearing Cloths and Linen Share and Share alike
To Elizabeth I give my Mourning ring
To Sarah one Gold ring
I give to Sarah Alston my Grand-daughter my best chest of Drawers
All the rest of my household Goods and furniture I give to my said Son Thomas.
I give to Richard Steward my Grandson all my Books and one plain Gold Ring when of the age of 21
All the residue of my Goods and Chattells after my Debts and funeral Expences are paid to my Son Thomas Alstone,
half part of the same to be paid to Richard Steward when 21.
In case he die before 21 then I give the said half part Equally between Edward, Thomas, Sarah, Joseph, and Elizabeth, the Children of my said Son Thomas Share and Share alike when they come to the age of 21.
The other half part unto Edward Alstone my Grandson, Son of my Son Edward, and to the said Edward Thomas, Sarah, Joseph, and
Elizabeth the Children of my Said Son Thomas Share and Share alike when 21.-In case Edward the Son of Edward shall
die before 21 then I give his moiety to Edward my Son and in case any of the Children of the Said Thomas my Son under
21, then I give the Share of Richard Steward as their Share to be Equally Divided betwen the Survivors of them.
I appoint my Son Thomas Sole Executor of this my will.

Elizabeth married Nicholas ALSTON [3700] [MRIN: 1278], son of Rev Edward ALSTON B.D. [3482] and Frances TABOR [3685], on 22 Sep 1711 in Ipswich, SFK. (Nicholas ALSTON [3700] was christened on 20 Dec 1683 in East Bergholt, Suffolk. UK and was buried on 2 Jun 1742 in Newton Nr Sudbury SFK.)
