bullet  General Notes:

Ipswich Journal, Saturday 31 January 1761
Lost by a Servant, on Monday the 26th of January, 1761, in the Road between Manningtree in Essex and Hadleigh in Suffolk, Seventy Five Pounds Twelve Shillings. In a light-colour'd Canvas-like Sample-Bag.
Whoever has, or may be so fortunate to find the same, and will re-turn it to Daniel Constable of Manningtree aforesaid, shall for their Honesty and Trouble have Ten Guineas Reward.

A further article appeared in The Ipswich Journal on Saturday 28 February 1761:
Lost by a Servant, on Monday the 16th of January, 1761, in the Road between Manningtree in Essex and Hadleigh in Suffolk, Seventy Five Pounds Twelve Shillings. All in Gold, in a light-coloured, Canvas-like Sample-Bag.
As there is great Reason to think that this Money is found by some certain Person who probably may not have discovered it, expect-ing yet an Offer of a greater Reward; therefore that I may omit no-thing that may induce the Person to be honest, I hereby offer Twenty Pounds Reward to any Person that will return the said Money; or to any Person who will discover it, so as it be recovered by me; or a pro-portionable Part of the Twenty Pounds for and Party returned, or so
discovered. And if the Person that shall return, or discover the Money as above, desires that his or her Name may be kept a Secret, (although I should think it wrong, and therefore would never hide it, if I should ever get the Money again, yet) upon such Request, I would not say who re-turned, or discovered it to me.
Daniel Constable, Manningtree , Feb 25, 1761
The same advertisement appeared again the following week.

Ipswich Journal of 22 August 1778 the following:
To be sold immediately about Ten Acres of very good arable Copyhold lands in four fields, with a barn, to which there is a plank floor, in Elmstead, near the Street, between Thorpe and Colchester in the county of Essex.
Also, a very strong timbered freehold house, 4 rooms upon a floor, with a garden adjoining, in Stratford St. Mary in Suffolk, near Dedham Bridge.
Enquire of Mr. John Browne, attorney at law Ipswich; Mr. Andrew Wootton, brand-merchant, Stratford, aforesaid, or of Daniel Constable at Manningtree."
