  General Notes:

William's will was dated 29th May 1792 and proved 15th January 1793 by Charlotte and his brother John Ambrose (source Essex Record Office D/ABW 112/1/1). In his will William left all his estate to be equally shared between his widow and his three young children. He also left the income from his legacy from his Uncle Davis' will to be shared in the same manner. Finally he stated that Charlotte was to continue the lease of the farm. The farm was owned by his eldest brother John.
