Judith [8450]

  • Marriage (1): Abraham FENN [8425] about 1741
  • Buried: 22 Aug 1785, Gt Bricett

bullet  Research Notes:

I have been unable to find the marriage details of Abraham Fynne and Judith and also have not identified her maiden name. I have now searched all the neighbouring villages near Baylham and Great Bricett without success. However it seems a strong possibility that they were married in Great Bricett c1740 the birth village of all their children from 1742. The Great Bricett parish records for the period 1737-1741 are no longer extant which helps to support that view. Strangely the records for Battisford are also missing between the same years. I also looked back through Great Bricett baptisms and the only Judith found was a Judith Dickinson daughter of Thomas and Judith Dickinson baptised 24 March 1730 so unlikely to be her unless she was baptised as a youngster rather than as a baby. Going by the Suffolk Burials CD Dicksons do not appear to be a Great Bricett family but several burials are to be found in nearby Barking. Barking is the only village in which I still need to look for the marriage of Abraham and Judith.
