Steve Purkis writes - 2021 Jenny suffered from tuberculosis as a child. Her father paid for her to go to Switzerland to attend school and recover from the TB. Jenny later lived in Scotland probably where she met her husband Ian Hamnett. She worked as a receptionist at a golf course. She later had jobs with a travel company and in Marketing. After her marriage to Ian she went with him to Lesotho in Africa where he was studying human anthropology. Ian was an intellectual and was made Vice Chancellor of Bristol University. He became an honorary chief in Basutoland (Lesotho) and their house was full of African memorabilia. Unfortunately, they could not have children because TB had left Jenny infertile. Ian took up with a girlfriend and eventually had a child by her. Jenny loved Ian and even though they divorced they remained good friends until his death. Unbeknown to our part of the family, Jenny was very religious and had many friends in the church around Cotham. In her middle age she suffered from ME and took up counselling of people with various problems.
When she was in her 70s she developed Parkinson's disease which eventually caused her death. She died on 28 Jan 2009
Jennifer married someone Ian HAMNETT [9679] [MRIN: 2940]. The marriage ended in divorce.
