Car Strikes Electric Light Pole VICTOR HARBOUR, June 25. The occupants of a motor car driven by Charles Bradshaw Fenn, of Adelaide, who endeavored to avoid a cyclist on a wet road at the approach of Newland Bridge, escaped electrocution by 3.300 volt wires of the Harbour Electricity Company yesterday afternoon. The car collided with an electric light pole, swerved, and went through the guard of the fence, breaking the fence and smashing the left rear wheel. The impact when the car struck the pole broke the live wires which however, did not come into contact with the passengers or the driver. NAVAL CADETS PROSECUTED. In the Port Adelaide Police Court, before Mr. J. H. Sinclair, S.M, on Saturday, 12 naval cadets were charged by Chief Gunner Turner with having failed to attend compulsory drill without lawful excuse. All pleaded guilty. . . . . .
