Sudden Death at Gordonvale.
The death of Mr A. M. Lander, at Gordonvale, took place with tragic suddenness yesterday afternoon, writes our Gordonvale correspondent. The late Mr Lander was at his work, when he was seen to suddenly fall from his chair. Mrs Lander rushed to his assistance, and the ambulance was immediately called, but it was ascertained that life was extinct. A post mortem examination was held later in the afternoon and that it was found that death was due to heart failure. The late Mr Lander was 62 years of age, and had resided at Gordonvale for many years. He leaves a wife, son, who is at present at Home Hill, and a daughter, Mrs Salter, of Gordonvale, to whom keen sympathy is extended. The funeral cortege will leave the residence at 3 p.m. today.
