Lord James was 1st Earl of Ormonde and 7th Chief Butler. The Earl of Ormonde (so created by consequence of this marriage) had a renewed grant of the prisage of wines and a grant of the regalities liberties &c. of the co. Tipperary with the
rights of a palatine in that co. for life.
