Answer, 26 January 1694/95 of Jane Sewell alias Alston, widow, one of the defendants to the complaint of Mary Boone, widow.

In March 1689 complainant, by the name of Jane Sewell, mortgaged certain interests in the manor of Boyton (held for defendant in trust by one Richard Goodall under lease from the Dean and Chapter of St. Paul's) to complainant for £700.
Several years before defendant had made a lease of the same to Richard French for 12 years, at a rent of £105.
She confesses she failed to redeem the mortgage in the stipulated time.
