Will of William Alston.
16 May 1731
In the name of God Amen I William Alston of the parish Stifford in the County of Essex Yeoman being of perfect mind and memory tho weak in body do hereby make this my last Will and Testament as follows.
Impris I commend my soul to Almighty God thro Jesus Christ My Lord & My Body to be interred at the discretion of my Executrix
Item I give to my loving brother Philip Alston one shilling
Item to my loving brother John Alston one shilling
All the rest and residue and remainder of My Goods Chattels Ready Money plate & Estate whatsoever Real or Personal after my debts and funeral charges are paid I give and bequeath to my Dear and Loving wife Sarah Alston and her heirs for ever and I do hereby Nominate and Appoint my said Loving Wife Sarah sole Executrix of this My Last Will and Testament hereby revoking All other and former Wills heretofore made by me in Witness whereof I have here unto Sett my hand and seal this Sixteenth day of May 1731
