Research Notes:
Edward's details are more problematic as Thomas senior's brother Arthur had a son of that name. Arthur renewed the leases on Barrow in 1759 after his father died, he married Agnes Hunt before 1767 and his first son was called Edward. He died in 1774 and his will extract is at <https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QS7-89LW-6N12?i=518&cat=224404> This Edward had a better claim to be called "of Barrow".
