On the 28 Apr 1905 Franz Julius of Caversham Dunedin occ Baker received his Letters of Naturalisation.

It would appear from this that Franz was not a British National prior to his arrival in NZ, this and the european spelling of his name would indicate he is unrelated to the family of John Julius of Yaremouth.

There is a Julius family living in Christchurch NZ (2000) who may be descended from Franz?
