Jane FLOCKHART [28022]

I think Jane was a Chemist's daughter. John worked for this Chemist from Edinburgh. From what we know they would dig up graves for the Chemist for his use (creepy!) Probably quite normal in the 1700's perhaps?

It seems that there was a chemist called Flockhart in the early 1800s who made a name for himself with developing chloroform: <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Flockhart>, possibly part of the family too.
The Flockhart name seems to be quite important to the McKelvie family, it's been preserved in middle names of the eldest son of each generation for seven generations now. I wonder if Jane's father helped get John over to New Zealand?

Jane married John McKELVIE [28021] [MRIN: 9914]. (John McKELVIE [28021] was born circa 1795 in Scotland.)
