Dated 25 Oct 1738
To son Isaac L5 to be paid by executrix within one mouth of testator's death
To daughter Mary L60.
To daughter Deborah L50 on her reaching the age of 21.
To brother Edmund L5 to be spent by executrix in clothing him at her discretion,
To Samuel Parish of Ipswich Gentleman L10 to be expended for the benefit of the poor boys of the Charity school belonging to the two dissenting meeting houses in lpswich.
To Mr William Notcutt 20/- for the poor of his congregation.
To each servant living with him at the time of his decease 5/-.
To each Journeyman Comber working with him 2/6.
All the real estate consisting of Houses Lands and Tenements to his wife Mary for her natural life, also, all ready Bonds, Bills, Book debts, plate household goods, Stock etc to Mary his wife, after payment of all just debts legacies, and funeral expenses.
After the death of testator's wife, the two daughters Mary and Deborah to have the further sum of L50 each and the residue of the estate both real and personal to go to testator's said 3 children Isaac Mary and Deborah Alston as Tenants in common and not as Joint tenants (except the sum of L100 left to his wife absolutely) Should the wife remarry she must give security to the children for the several sums of money due to them at her death, should she refuse or neglect to do this, then the real and personal estate to go to the said three children, immediately upon her remarriage.
The wife Mary appointed sole executrix, Sir John Bumpstead Supervisor of said will.
