Educated at Christ's College and Trinity Hall Cambridge Harold returned to Craigmore and took up farming alongside his father, a sound stockman and manager of men, he was also a keen skier and climber. Later in life he served on a number of company boards.
Harold married June BATCHELOR [15036] [MRIN: 5331], daughter of Stanley BATCHELOR of Dunedin [15037] and Unknown, in 1932. (June BATCHELOR [15036] was born about 1909 and died in 2001.)
