General Notes:
Sir Miles the eldest son, was one of the restorers of Norwich Cathedral and the chief restorer of Ingham Church over the west door of which still exist the arms of Stapylton impayling de la Pole.
Sir Miles died October 1 1466 and with his wife was buried at Ingham in front of the high altar. He married Katherine de la Pole daughter of Sir Thomas de la Pole Kt. by his wife the daughter and heir of Nicholas Cheyney.
Through his mother he was descended also from the Princess Joan through the Audleys and Staffords and from that picturesque figure Llwellyn Prince of Wales through the Mortimers and Beauchamps.
Miles married Katherine de la POLE [15698] [MRIN: 5580], daughter of Sir Thomas de la POLE 2nd Earl of Suffolk [15699] and CHEYNEY [15700]. (Katherine de la POLE [15698] died in Oct 1488.)
