An engagement of New Zealand interest announced by "The Post's" London correspondent is that between Lieutenant J. Y. Torlesse, R.N., and Geraldine, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarke, of Stone Cross, Ashurst, Kent. Lieutenant Torlesse is the youngest son of Captain A. Torlesse, R.N., and Mrs. Torlesse, of Lymington, Hampshire, and grandson of the late Charles Obris Torlesse, of Rangiora and Christchurch.
