Hi ! My great grandfather, George Edward Wakefield, married in India as second wife a certain "Adalaide Ruth Allsop", the daughter of George Allsop (of Dublin) and Rose (nee Campbell) of Cork. George Allsop was a Surgeon with Indian Artillery of East India Company. No mention of sea captain, but perhaps an uncle or brother ? The period is about right. The sister of Wakefield above married in 1863. I live in Australia. Kind regards, Maria I. Suffolk
