Answer, 26 January 1694/5:, of Jane Sewell alias Alston, widow, one of the defendants to the complaint of Mary Boone, widow.
In March 1689 complainant, by the name of Jane Sewell, mortgaged certain interests in the manor of Boyton Hall (held for defendant in trust by one Richard Goodall under lease from the Dean and Chapter of St. Paul's) to complainant for L700. Several years before defendant had made a lease of the same to Richard French for 12
years, at a rent of L105.
She confesses she failed to redeem the mortgage in the stipulated time.

(Edmund ALSTON of Surrey [2769] was born on 11 May 1647 in Newton Nr Sudbury SFK, baptised on 16 May 1647 in Newton Nr Sudbury SFK and died after 1689.)

Jane next married Robert SEWELL [11592] [MRIN: 6594], son of John SEWELL [11581] and Parnell ELLIS [11582], before Jul 1687. (Robert SEWELL [11592] was born about 1625 in Gt Henny ESS.)
