Doree married WRB Clarke (known as Bob). he and Doreen were in Kitale, Kenya when their son Philip was born in 1930. Bob was then posted to Salisbury, Southern Rhodesia, where their daughter, Barbara, was born. Doreen died in Southern Rhodesia in 1962.
