Handsome Christening Present.
The Walcott parish magazine for December mentions that on the occasion of the christening of Ernest Lancelot Eardley-Wilmot, the Rector's second son, in St Andrew's church, some of the parishioners and members of the congregation presented him with a handsome gift consisting of a chest of plate and a silver mug, as a token of their appreciation of his father's ministry amongst them. An address accompanied which expressed the givers appreciation of the Rector's ministry, and this allusion, said the Rector in his reply, enhanced the value of the gift.
