Bury St Edmunds Quarter Sessions 19 July 1742 This Court doth elect and appoint Edward Alston Chief Constable of the Hundred of Babergh in this Division, in the room of his late father.
Bury St Edmunds Quarter Sessions 1 January 1754 This Court doth order the Treasurer of this Division to pay to Mr Edward Alston one of the Chief Constables of Babergh Hundred or order the sum of L3-16-3d in discharge of his bill.
A Petty Sessions for the Hundred of Babergh will be held at the Crown Inn Hartest on Friday the 26th of this instant September for hiring and retaining servants.
