bullet  General Notes:

Lady Penelope is buried with her Husband in Long Ditton Church. She was from a long line back to Edward I and Eleanor of Castile and beyond to the later Roman Emperors.

In Aubrey's Surrey, Vol I, p. 244, the following Memorial Inscription appears as existing in Long Ditton Church.
The present Vicar, the Rev. C. R. Worsley Hughes tells me that the original is not now to be found. It was apparently (from its form) in an oval.
