Polly is described in a letter c1884, to Dr E L Fenn from G Estridge [11148] who quotes a Mrs (Miss) Parson aged 94 who spent the best half her life in St Kitts "your half uncle Aretas Estridge married Miss Julius and a very nice person she was, I knew her and liked her very much". Copy on file.

Ann was a Legatee of an annuity from the Estate of John Calfe, of St Kitts, whose Will was dated 12 Nov 1807. Proved PCC 13 Apr 1805.

IGI entry of marriage 11 May 1796 FHL Film 1596312 - to be searched 2009

An entry in the IGI shows an Ann Julius born 1774 St Kitts died 1838, a second entry shows an Ann Julius born 1774 married Aretas Estridge abt 1793 St Kitts. both entries were submitted by a LDS church member after 1991 and have no source is given.

I Anne Mary Wharton Estridge
of Winterborne Clenston in the county of Dorset widow do make this my last Will this twenty fourth day of the month of May in the year 1830.
Whereas by virtue of the Will of John Julius Esquire bearing date on or about the 29th day of May in the year 1812 and a codicil thereto bearing date on or about the 2nd day of November in the year 1813 the sum of £6,000 Navy, £5 percent annuities, became bequeathed to Jedediah Kerie Esquire, John Julius the younger Esquire since deceased, Henry Fauntleroy Esquire
since deceased, and John Julius Kerie my clerk in trust for me for my life and after my decease to be at my disposal by my Will now I the said Ann Mary Wharton Estridge in exercise of the said power given to me by the said Will and codicil or one of them and of every power enabling me in this behalf so by this my Will direct that immediately on my decease the sum of £500 sterling shall be raised from and out of the said sum of £6,000 Navy, £5 percent annuities, and the stock or annuities substitutes for the same or into which the same may have been or may be converted or upon which the proceeds thereof may have been or may be invested and that such sum of £500 shall be paid unto and for the use of my daughter Wharton Estridge and that the residue of the same sum of £6,000 Navy £5 percent and of the stock and annuities now subject by conversion, substitution, or investment to the said power shall be transferred or paid unto and equally among my sons and daughters namely Mary Wharton Estridge, John Julius Estridge, and Aretas William Estridge as tenants in common and I bequeath unto and equally between my said sons and daughter all the rest residue and remainder of my goods, chattels, rights, monies, credits, and personal estate whatsoever subject to my just debts and funeral and testamentary expenses and I do appoint my son John Julius Estridge of Winterborne Clenston in the county of Dorset and my brother-in-law Jedediah Kerie Esquire of Baker Street
in the parish of Marylebone in the county of Middlesex and Jedediah Kerie Junior of the city of Bath in the county of Somerset
executors of this my Will in witness whereof I have here unto subscribed my name and affixed my seal the day and year

Proved at London 23rd August 1838 before the judge by the oath of the Reverend John Julius Estridge clerk the son one of the executors to whom admon was granted having been first sworn by common duly to administer power reserved of making the like grant to Jedediah Kerie and Jedediah Kerie the younger the other executors when they shall apply for the same.

Ann married Aretas ESTRIDGE of St Kitts [703] [MRIN: 222], son of John ESTRIDGE [11146] and Mary SEATON [11149], on 11 May 1796 in St Augustine the Less Bristol GLS. (Aretas ESTRIDGE of St Kitts [703] was born in 1768 in St Kitts Leward Is Carribean and died in 1815.)
