Haszard - Pritchett.
A marriage of interest to Thames people took place recently at St Barnabas's Church, Fendalton, when Miss Marjorie Pritchett, second daughter of the Rev P. H. Pritchett and Mrs Pritchett, was married to Mr Norman Haszard, second son of Mr H. D. M. Haszard, formerly of Thames. The ceremony was performed by the father of the bride, assisted by the Rev H. S. Leach. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr Jack Pritchett, wore a frock of deep cream souple satin, the draped skirt caught at the sides with sprays of orange blossoms, opening over of panels of cream radium lace. The tight-fitting bodice had loose sleeves of the same lace. An embroidered veil was worn with a quaint circlet of orange blossom, and she carried a sheaf of golden brown chrysanthemums. The bridesmaids, Miss End Pritchett and Miss Geraldine Haszard, wore charming frocks of eau de nil georgette, over sea blue satin embroidered with silver motifs. Their head-dresses were coronets of silver leaves and they carried beautiful bouquets of winter irises and maiden-hair fern. Mr D. Pritchett acted as best man. Mr and Mrs Norman Haszard left later for the south, the bride wearing a nigger brown velour costume and nigger hat with touches of tangerine.
